Doesn't matter, won't win at IAS. We've seen an IAS appeal decision which said 'the fact the signs are BPA signs makes no difference - the important consideration is whether the signs are capable of forming a contract and I say they are.' Or some such similar rubbish!

I say this OP should sit tight and collect the silly debt collector letters and it should all fizzle out. Better perhaps, than risking a loss at IAS. And complain to Wickes!

Firstly, many thanks for all of you who took the time to reply to my post.
Your knowledge has been most valuable and the plain speaking is definitely refreshing and appreciated.

As per the advice, I'm going to sit this one out and wait for the letters (even though every bit of me wants to pay "the fine" just in case I get into real trouble - which is what they are relying/preying upon)

I'll let you know how I get on if anything progresses, you might hear from me again when the "official" dc letters start to look threatening.
