I always keep money that is intended for Corporation Tax and VAT separate from the main account. They go into a Barclays Base Rate Reward account (our main account is also with Barclays), and the interest rate is rubbish.
I've spoken to Barlcays and they can't offer me anything better - but can anyone point me in the direction of a bank that can offer a higher rate for business savings? The Corporation Tax account gets appx 4 deposits per year, and one withdrawal.

Or their parent company comparison is http://www.moneysupermarket.com/business-finance/business-savings-accounts/
Depending on your balance there are possibly some better deals that wont pay MSE/ MSM commission and so dont appear
If you are a sole trader then life is better but as you mention corporation tax you evidently arent0 -
Many thanks. It doesn't look like the Barclays rate is too bad after all!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
