one elec and gas supplier for mutiple properties

I have a number of rental properties which I rent out with bills included.

Rather than have multiple accounts do any of the energy providers have one accounts of which I can then have all my properties listed underneath?

Would make admin a lot easier.

Only commercial suppliers would do this - however VAT would be charged at 20% instead of 5% which I doubt the tenants would be too impressed by.

Considering energy is something by which LLs aren't allowed to make a profit on, why are you bothering with the admin? Just rent them out without bills, and allow the tenants to decide.

Pretty sure most of the big suppliers, if not all, will allow you to list all of your properties under one account number, and your balance would be totalised, however you would continue to get bills from each property. As the bills would be for an individual property, but the account balance on the front of the bill would be for all properties, it could potentially get very messy. I would guess it wouldn't be worth tge hassle.
  • They're HMOs so it's much easier from the tenants perspective to have one inclusive charge than split bills etc.

Would a commercial supplier still charge 20% if they're for residential homes?

That would be fine with me, will give a few a call and see what they can do.
