A disability entitlements/discounts list anywhere?!

Hello,
I have had a look for one of these on the forum and the web but obviously not searching properly!
My friend told me about getting reducing cinema tickets, even theatre tickets as I have a disability. I knew about a freedom card for traveling. Plus a rail card but there were several other things she said I maybe could apply for including a fuel payment and something else I have forgotten... She has gone on holiday so will ask her when she is back but I thought surely there is something on MSE. I am just not searching properly.
I get PIP.
Thank you.

Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

When you received your PIP award there should have been a list of things you maybe entitled to.
The CEA card for the cinema costs £6 and will allow free entry for 1 person to accompany you into the cinema. It doesn't give you free or reduced entry and you can either apply online at their web site or ring them and ask for an application form. Disabled Rail card you can also apply online or just go into any rail station. This card will allow you a third off your travel costs but again you have to pay for the card but i'm not sure how much it is. It's no more than £30. Winter fuel payments are for pensioners. You may be able to claim a warm home discount of £140 off your electric bill if your energy supplier is part of the scheme. For this you will need to contact your energy supplier. I think you have until end of January to apply for this. You don't say what you were awarded but if you were awarded Standard Mobility then you can claim 50% reduction in your road tax or free road tax if you were awarded Enhanced rate mobility but the car must be registered in your name. If you scored 8 points or more in the "moving around part" of PIP you can claim a Blue badge for parking purposes. Do take another look at your award notice tho because somewhere in there there will be a list of thing you COULD qualify for.0 -
You can usually apply for warm home discount from September, the sooner the better. You will usually not receive the money until April. Be careful when changing providers. Eg if I changed now, I would lose my cold weather payment for this year so it makes no sense for me unless the deal was exceptionally great. The warm home discount depends on your income and each provider has their own rules (and some do not take part at all).
Here are more details: https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme/eligibility
If you are on low income, there are also cold weather payments - if for seven consecutive days, the temperature is below zero, you will get £25. More details: https://www.gov.uk/cold-weather-payment/overview0 -
If you want to visit the theatre, go onto the web site for the production of your choice, and you'll see a separate section under the heading "Access". That'll give you a dedicated telephone number, and you can state what your requirements are, no steps, proximity to a disabled loo etc, and they'll accommodate you.
Usually, you pay for your ticket, but the carer goes free, so you'll get 2 tickets for the price of one. Unfortunately, a lot of people who know about this have abused it over the years, and if you are going to a theatre for the first time, and enjoying this discount, they may ask you to bring along proof of your disability award.

2 points the rail card is £20 for one year or £50 for three
it maybe too late now for the warm home discount scheme and this year(2014/15)is the final year of four, although they may announce a new one for 2015/16 this week0 -
You can apply to The National Trust for an admit one free card so you can go along with a carer if you have a disability to their properties.0

I ordered tickets for a gig in London the other day and on the email I got back that all O2 venues will from Janury be using the new Cradiblty cards as prove of disability and all the info they need is on one card so they automatic add my carers ticket to my order as its shown on the card
The card cost me £15 for 3 years,I allso know that a lot of festivals and other places will be using them in the further in stead of sending in DLA and PIP letters
as I new on here it won't let me put the link but search credibility card in Google and its first on the list0 -

Is this changing in the change from DLA to PIP? Currently the car doesn't need to be in the disabled persons name but used solely for the purpose of the disabled person to claim the free road tax. What if you can't drive, how would the car be insured in another persons name to the owner? Maybe it can be but I'm not sure how0
