Suspended pending disciplinary hearing

Good evening guys,
I was suspended today for what i'm assuming is gross misconduct although my manager didn't use that exact term.
I work under a lot of pressure and yesterday told a colleague to f**k off. I instantly felt guilty and twice tried to apologise. Thing is, she came to my workstation and was harassing me being quite rude and aggressive. She called me an ar*e in front of other people which is when i lost my temper and used the expletive as her back was turned as she stormed off.
I currently work 7-5 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and i don't even get to take a break as i'm the only person who handles calls in my particular department. So understandably the pressure on me to do well and deliver is extreme. Even when i grab a bite to eat if the phone rings..back to work i go which is pretty crushing.
Also, i have a baby on the way so personal issues also are on my mind and now face the prospect of losing my job. I think i may go to the doctors as i feel very stressed and anxious.
The final point i'd like to make is that the person i swore at happens to be married to a director, which doesnt help. I have worked there for nearly 4 years and never have i been in trouble before. I was provoked and under stress reacted badly in the heat of the moment.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks,

What term did your manager use?
Do you have a company handbook that outlines what constitutes gross misconduct?
Why do you not take the legal break you are duty bound to have?
EDIT - and when it comes to do as notanewuser says and say you are sorry.0 -
i tried , on two occasions. She didnt want to know.0

If telling someone to f off was a sackable offence, there would be no left at my last place of work!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
I'm not aware of any such handbook, I'll have to ask.
I dont take the break as there would be nobody else to cover me0 -

That is not the point - it is a legal requirement to have a break.
I realise that is a separate issue from the current one but one worth keeping in mind.
The company should have procedures in place to deal with disciplinary issues and you are entitled to know what these are.0 -
The duty is placed on employers to provide an appropriate break.
Can you link to the duty you are referring to?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0
