Motorhoming around Yorkshire

does anyone know a good spot to stop for a spot of wild camping in a motorhome in yorkshire?
I have hired a motorhome for this coming weekend. We are going to Yorkshire; in particular Grassington, and then up to Carlisle on the 2nd night.
I would like to find some picturesque spots to just stop (no hookup needed), or pubs in nice locations that permit overnight stays.
Anyone know any good places?
thanks.

If you're taking the scenic route along the B6277/A689 (via Barnard Castle, Middleton-in-Teesdale and Alston) to Carlisle, then there's a large layby by the cattle grid where you cross the county border into Cumbria.
It's high up with great views in all directions and I didn't see any parking restrictions signed last time we stopped there for lunch and a stretch of the legs. That route is a quieter more relaxed alternative to the M6 too if you're not in a rush.Never trust a financial institution.

Thank you VERY much. I have found a pub near my first destination that permits overnight parking (as long as you have a drink in the pub which is NOT a problem). i will check out google maps and plan this stop for night 2 of my adventure.

do you know if there are any good, reasonably priced pubs for dinner along that route?
