    Thankyou Beth.

I will email you the details when I get home later this evening.
  • I switched my supply from Npower to OVO energy on May 20th 2014. The electricity passed over without any hitch but the gas has still not changed over. After numerous phone calls, emails and getting the ombusman involved they still cannot supply me with a final bill. My account is in credit to the tune of £422 and after a phone call today from there complaints department they have basically admitted guilt about this total fiasco and paid me £125 compensation. The only problem is I cannot get my money back from them. There is now a total of £547 in my account. I think this problem could go on for the rest of my life and nobody seems to be bothered a toss. I have complained to the toothless wonders at the Ombusmen service and they just seem to be happy to fill in forms and give me lip service. All I want for my Christmas is Npower to finally sort out my gas bill and for me to get on with my life
  • Latest update - my account now showing £1132 in credit but still can't get a final bill. Don't know what is going on!!

I've just been contacted by one of the Npower forum reps and they have sorted the account and issued a cheque. Just pending receipt of the cheque before I can call this completely resolved.

Its a shame that my previous attempts went ignored, but credit where credit is due, this was dealt with quickly and I do appreciate this particular teams efforts in bringing this to a close.

If you had not complained on a public forum I wonder how quickly they would have dealt with the matter.

When recently changing suppliers away from NPower to Flow I was massively in credit and ended up having a massive blazing row over the phone with them and demanded MY money back or the threatened court action would be taken. Most of my money was returned apart from a token amount they estimated would cover the final closing bill, surprise surprise they got that wrong and had to wait another month before taking the rest I owed them by DD. The DD now cancelled - goodbye NPower !!

The cheeky incompetent fools also sent me an email advising that my bank had been in touch telling them I'd cancelled the DD and that I should make immediate contact with them to get this reinstated - go forth !
ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)
    NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.
BofE +0.19% Tracker Repayment Offset Mortgage Discounted Sept 07-10 then increased to BofE +0.62% until 2027
  • I have a similar problem with npower. My gas is showing as £1335 in credit and when i asked for it back I was told I was waiting to be billed. I have just had to borrow money to buy a new washing machine so that credit would have been very handy right now! They cancelled my DD payments 5 months ago without an explanation and my billing is all wrong. They still haven't updated my meter exchange on the national database even though it was done 2 years ago! The customer service is appalling and I can't wait to switch. I have already had an ombudsman complaint with them and now in the process of raising another. I have told them to repay my credit and bill me for my usage which I will pay but they still haven't acted yet. What is the point of an executive complaints team if they don't make executive decisions!
