With HSBC, I've told them where I'm going to be and when.
Transaction declined when we bought petrol in Russia last year, as it was last minute trip and I hadn't told them, but they phoned straight away and the payment (with an independent young lady interpreting with the shop owner for them), and the issue dealt with in few minutes, and shop paid.💙💛 💔0 -
Never had a single problem with a multitude of cards over the years on three continents.
Which bank?0 -
Hi all,,well i have had several conversations with my bank. Im not sure it matters which bank it is so i wont mention it for now. At this stage i am being sent a PIN re-advise notice and a new card in case there are issues with the card. Its interesting to read the thread. Last time i did USA travel a couple of years ago i was amazed that they werent really into chip and pin. It seemed rife for exploitation. I guess they are catching up now..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
