Why is Scottish Energy restricting their 30 Sept 2017 tariff to certain post codes?
Apparently London post codes are ok but for eg EN post codes are not.
I live in an EN post code about 100 yards from the London N21 border but have been denied.
Any one got an explanation?

For consumption of:
Gas 26,500 kWh
Electricity 5,100 kWh
Scottish Power Fixed 31st Jan 2016 £1,568
Scottish Power Fixed 30th Sep 2017 £1,988
Why would anyone want to go for the Sep 2017?0 -
Just switched to the Scottish January 2016 fix, big drop in standing charge from December 2015 fix. This puts me on a par with the MSE Big Switch, without the hassle of changing suppliers. Slightly longer fix, no exit penalty.0

Just done a comparison and would save about £50 going to that. I'm with EDF just now for Leccy Feb'16 and Gas March'16 but would have to switch and from what i've glossed over here re SP that might not be too clever. Seems to be similar to EDF with no fees etc.
I'd deffo go for it if was an existing customer with them.0 -

I've thought about doing this too but unit price is slightly higher so not sure what's cheaper.0 -

Should you change with energylinx [cashback] you gain £34 and their site compares side by side the one your 'with' and scottish power jan 2016 fix or 'any other' with the new guide TCR [Tariff Comparison Rate ] which is a more reliable guide for price checking. Both Npower and Scottish have no exit charges but Scottish are just ahead for TCR
