Package Deal question

If I book a hotel and flight as a package but do not wish to use that hotel, can I just make own arrangements for another hotel but keep flight from original package? Would it still be valid if I did not turn up at original hotel

If you don't expect to get a refund for the unused hotel, and although package operators and hotels don't like it, nothing really to stop you doing this. Of course you would lose any ATOL bonding protection from the original package on the new hotel part if you booked that separately.

Are you talking about a tour operator package with Thomson etc, or a "flight+hotel" package online? Would the package have other services such as transfers included?
