Am not saying I got rejected, but I just want to ask if Nationwide were to reject you even after showing your ID in branch would they let you know few days later? If I showed my ID in branch last week Wednesday and not heard anything does that mean am more likely to get the CC then not?
if you did get rejected how long did they take to let you know, and was it by letter?
thanks!

I didn't get rejected, but having applied for a barclaycard and a tesco credit card before, I thought the application process was the lengthiest with so many checks and all mainly through letters. Yes, all correspondence was through letters, even though we were NW's mortgage customer.SPC 08 - #452 - £415
SPC 09 - #452 - £2980 -
If one was to get rejected after showing ID do they tend to let you know in few days rather then 7-10 days? the longer they take the more likely you are to get a card? because rejection is an instant rejection isn't it where you are told soon as possible.0

This is such a cack handed way of operating.
I applied for a Lloyds CC online. All seems well until I'm told to 'go to branch and get certified'. Fine, not too onerous a task I thought! Wrong.
Went to branch, met polite but clearly slightly dim branch 'operator' who took my details 'certified' them with a stamp and said he'd send them off.
In two weeks I ring the CC line, no certified documents have come through, and the application will time out in another two weeks.
Ok, back to branch, nice but dim wasn't there. Asked NBD's colleague to check if he'd done anything with these documents. She can't 'open up his personal locker' so I leave a number asking NBD to ring me asap.
Two days later, back to branch. NBD has no idea where these documents are. I've had enough by now, phoned Lloyds, cancelled the application.
Lloyds customer service is clearly to designed to test the patience of mere mortals.
O/H did an application with Tesco, card arrived in a few week. She didn't have to leave the house...0 -
Sorry to hear about your situation, I hope mine does not come to that.
If they wanted to reject me then surely they would have let me know by now? perhaps they are sorting out the card i.e details, dates ready to be sent off ?
p.s when I went to my local branch the ID was faxed front of me, so am hoping it isn't lost or what have ya.0
