callcredit and noddle

I would like to get a Callcredit statutory report, but noticed Noddle does one for free. They are owned by Callcredit. Before I make my decision, what is the difference in terms of information held on the credit reports, etc...?

In terms of the factual information that actually matters, no difference, except that the noddle report is a snapshot that only updates once per month. So once you get the first generated noddle snapshot, you have to wait a month before you can have it updated again.

Before I sign up, I have read the T&C's and the Privacy Policy.

It says that that personal details can be passed to third parties. In your experience, did Call Credit and third parties contacted you by phone, email, text, or post?
  • It says you can opt out by sending an email to them.
Never been contacted by them by text or phone, or post. Possibly have by email.
    and third parties, no idea.
  • I've been on Noddle for over a year and check often. I have never had an unsolicited call from anyone relating to them.

sorry to bump an old thread....Free credit report from Noddle is a great idea but Is the customer service any better if I pay/contact Callcredit instead of using their "free" Noddle service?

Experian/Equifax made corrections to errors within 2-3 days of me opening a dispute...still waiting for Noddle and impossible to check if disputes have even been looked at....Anyone had a good experience removing credit file errors using Noddle or is it better using the paid service from Call credit?

    Many thanks

    Old thread but worth replying.

Of course there is a difference between CRAs and their reports whether free or paid: Each CRA only lists those accounts which the lenders report to them. The effect can be quite considerable. For example my Experian credit report only lists 4 accounts and no settled accounts but Equifax lists 23 open and settled accounts.

To get the full picture you need to get reports from all three of the CRAs. Not really that much difference between free and paid except that paid are updated in real time and free are updated once per month.
