Lots of good ideas, sadly I dont have a shed or garage but am thinking I could use an old (unplugged in) fridge outside with ice packs as an ice box. Im obv not the only one whos had this problem!
Many thanks again.Magnolia Stellata0 -

No you are not, I have two coolboxes, that are ancient, busted handles, scratched to glory be... kept just for christmas! I freeze old plastic milk cartons full of water (leave a little bit of room at the top for expansion). They will stay frozen for longer than coolpacks or ice cubes.
If I need even extra chillin' room I use a plastic storage crate add the frozen milk bottles, add the food, put the lid on and wrap the whole thing in a bin bag and then all the spare duvets, blankets and whatever I can find to insulate the outside with.
I chill bottle of drinks in a bucket filled with cold water and loads of chopped ice. Need I say we don't do posh in our house??LOL.0 -
My mother puts a lot stuff outside (she has a balcony). Everything is shut and sealed properly. I would just put some food outside in the garden.0
