Help - window frame falling out!

I woke up this morning and opened the curtains to find a draft coming from around the window. On closer inspection the window frame appears to be coming away from the wall opening. The question is

1) How has this happened

and

2) How is it best fixed?

Its a PVC window BTW.

If the frame was fitted using expanding foam it is possible that this has failed and caused your frame to become insecure.
I fitted my windows and doors with 10 x 120mm frame anchors drilled into the bed joints (not the bricks) and they have not moved.

Actually falling out,? Have the windows come lose, or has the sealant shrunk?

Perhaps it just needs resealing with frame sealant or silicone? (inside and out?)

Window frames are not fixed in place by just using sealant.
