How are you "in limbo"? :huh:
The problem was that HSBC confirmed my payment had gone out of the account. Post Office said their system was 'live' and would show the payment being processed. I spoke to two members of PO staff who both told me that my payment was nowhere to be seen.
I had made previous payments using the same details, along with the credit card number as reference, and normally wouldn't get any delays.
Eventually I gave them my tracing reference and details and they said they would pass this to the back office to look at.
It seems this did the trick and the payment is now showing in my post office account... 5 days later.0
