Drydensfairfax Solicitors

Hi everyone, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. It's my first post.
I've received a letter from Drydensfairfax Solicitor asking me to contact them regarding a personal business matter etc. I was concerned about receiving a letter from a solicitor so I Googled the name and saw countless posts regarding them chasing people for debts, buying old debts etc.
I know I don't have any outstanding debts but checked my credit report none the less. Everything is showing up to date. I really don't know what to do about this letter, do I respond or ignore it.
They say if I don't respond within 10days they will assume I have received the letter and will continue to try and contact me. I'm hesitant to respond as I know I don't have any outstanding debts and if I do respond I'm worried they will harass me. I can see there are lots of posts on here from people that have made contact with them but I couldn't see anything regarding receiving the first letter from them.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

they want you to respond, let them ashumeDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If you owe nothing then they can "assume" that they can #### right off.Still rolling rolling rolling......

Thanks guys!
That's what I thought too!0 -
and sending to an address that may be long terminated , with a statement " within 10days they will assume I have received the letter"
bring it on !
issuing a claim of any sort to a un verified address is naughty , might even be illegal,
ok saying last known address , but they still need to prove they are using up to date info , not a debt that was sold off god knows how many yrs ago0 -
All the letter said was that they were trying to contact the person named on the letter (me) and had been given information that they were living at this address. If I am that person could I contact them to discuss the matter concerned. I'm assuming they are chasing a debt as all posts relating to this company say the same thing. I definitely don't have any unpaid debts so can't understand why I have received this letter. I want to ignore it but I'm concerned in case this escalates into something nasty.0

ignore , and what is the LEGAL penalty for not replying?0

I would ignore until they write with specific details or send them the prove it letter.:beer:0

They will assume you received it unless you respond???
Send it back in the envelope it came in, with 'Opened in Error, Not Known at This Address' written on it."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Guys,
I have found a default on my credit file by Capquest and when they called they have said it is with Drydens Fairfax who had the wrong information about me but told me they cant change or proceed with the call and i have to call Capquest.
Funnily, Capquest said the same thing that they cant change and i will have to call Drydens. So please check your credit file to see if they have left anything in there.0 -

Capquest will own the debt, they are just using Drydens as solicitors.
Best write to them rather than phone.:beer:0
