Tesco Direct - a Joke - Avoid !!!

How does this sound - like a bad joke, but it's all true... we ordered a futon from Tesco Direct over 10 days ago on the Thurs eve for Monday delivery, we got a call on the Saturday saying there was a stock issue and it wouldn't be ready until the Wednesday, ok we said. On the Weds they called us at 3pm with the same story, and said we could have it on Fri or Sat, we said Fri please. First thing Friday I get a text saying it's coming on Saturday, so I call them to say no we want it on Friday only to be told that there's still a problem and we won't get it then either. First thing Saturday they call saying they've got it for us, but the driver has left for the day, so it'll have to be Monday. Onto today... a text first thing saying it's on its way and we'll get a call after 9.30 with our 'delivery window', of course we hear nothing more all morning so I call at lunchtime to be told of traffic delays but that it'll definitely arrive 'late afternoon'. At 5.30 we get a call saying the driver is at his maximum hours for the day so can't deliver it today ! What do you think might be tomorrow's excuse ? Thanks for reading, any advice (beside how about cancel the order !) appreciated

    It turned up eventually... but never use Tesco Direct ! We won't be in future.

    Yep, going to forget the hundreds of successful transactions with Tesco direct purely on the basis on some randoms having a one off bad day.

    Try Tesco click and collect. PS4 and game, ordered at same time, one order number. After waiting 15 minutes a totally different lady turned up with the PS4., no game.

    Off she went again. I tried to ignore the ever increasing queue behind me. Never again.

    I've had far too many encounters with rude staff at click and collect. Never again either!!
