    As I said earlier I worked for Hotpoint for a while. Fridges aren't normally airtight so the door isn't shut by suction, it's shut by magnets in the door seal. Hold something metal up to the seal to check this is still the case. As Rodders mentioned above the usual problem with doors not shutting is the fridge not sitting square. Look at the top of the fridge & the top of the door, are they parallel? If not adjust one of the feet to make it so. There should be instructions in the handbook.
