    I'm not really surprised by this outcome. Had a similar thing with the missus car last year but claimed direct from the third party. Was actually given about £1k more than book value for the car as they were struggling to find many for sale to compare to and could not find one of the same spec (had a few factory fitted extras).

    It seems insurance companies are getting wiser to the fact that arguing about values wastes time and costs money.
