PPI on old Goldfish Card

I had a Goldfish credit from around 1994 to around 2005 and I'm very confident that I was paying PPI inurance on the card at this time which I would like to try and claim back. I have recently contacted Barclaycard (whom I believe purchased Goldfish) and they have no record of me ever having a card. Due to moving house many times since 2005 I also am unable to find any old paperwork in regards to the cards as I closed it in 2005.
What is the best way for me to try and track the details of my card which I can then pass on to a PPI reclaim agent or try to claim myself as I'm currently hitting a brickwall!

Barclaycard only acquired the Goldfish CC brand in 2008. You closed your Goldfish account in 2005. So, of course, they don't have any record of you having had a card....What is the best way for me to try and track the details of my card which I can then pass on to a PPI reclaim agent or try to claim myself as I'm currently hitting a brickwall!
If you acquired a Goldfish card in 1996, then it would have been issued by HFC bank. It would have later been transfered to Goldfish Bank Ltd, then sold to Lloyds Bank in 2003, and then to Morgan Stanley in 2005, who then demerged their CC operations as Discover, who then sold it to Barclays.
The last people to have held your records would have been Discover.0 -
I am in the same situation with the Golfish Card. Which bank would have the orginal agreement?0

I suggest you keep your questions about this to just one thread, especially since you started off on the more appropriate board (and you've already had a response there)
