  • Hey you

    What did you treat with?

If a spot on then they're usually every 4 weeks

Fleas have been absolutely rampant this year :(

How long has it been since you put it on? It can take a while to get them all unfortunately

Also, if you've used something like Frontline then the active ingredient (Fiprinol) is becoming less effective in some areas and I'd suggest something like Advantage or Clear Spot Spot-on which uses a different one (Imidacloprid)

  • I'm hiding over here :o too :o to update my diary

Mmmm its not been even 2 weeks yet so I'd be reluctant to do him again so soon

I'd def go with something like Advantage or Clear spot next time

How many cats you got now?

I can spare a couple of Clear Spot if you'd like me to send you a couple so you have them for when you can treat again?

In many years of having 3 cats I've never known it as bad for fleas.

Have always used Frontline spot on but they seem to have become immune to it this year.. Johnsons 4fleas tablets seem to have worked on the cats but must have them in the carpets too as got a couple of bites on me and had one on my arm last night.. I've spent a small fortune on various sprays.. Ordered room foggers last night so waiting for them to arrive now to see if that finally gets rid of them!

    Have ordered them ~#thankyou :)

you need to hoover then treat everywhere the cat has been as there could be eggs there waiting to hatch out.

Carpets, curtains, in corners, under cushions etc.and remember the hoover. Some people put a flea collar in the hoover bag to kill any hoovered up.

Eggs can lie in wait for nine months.

A spray like Acclaim or Zodiac works for up to a year to prevent the hatched fleas developing.
