I thought I would post this in case someone else was considering applying for this card and using it while they are abroad.
I applied for the Capital One Classic Extra credit card after reading Martins article on Travel credit cards: the best credit cards to use abroad which states that there is no charge for overseas spending while using the Capital One Classic Extra credit card however the Capital One Classic Extra credit card I received states "Foreign transaction fee: 2.75% of transaction value".
Has Capital started to charge new customers of their Classic Extra credit card for spending abroad?
I will still use this card for spending in the UK to get the annual £10 bonus. :money:

On the current card checker it says:
Capital One Classic Extra (from June 2013 to Aug 2014 only)
I assume if you got your card after it charges for abroad.

It looks like they have, kind of shocking really (I got it last year).
Old customers aren't affected (I just checked)0
