Can I get American Netflix on my Xbox 360?

I have watched some youtube videos where people change the DNS codes on their 360, but none work for me.

Is there another way to do it, or anywhere else I can find the codes?

The easiest way is to use a service like unblock-us, it costs a couple of pound per month (there's a one week free trial). You simply change your DNS settings on the device you want to use, all the instructions are on their site.

Never had any luck with free ones myself.

Its not as simple as just changing DNS settings, you also may need to look at using a VPN, where you send your data through such a service, and they generally cost a subscription per month to use it (as well as your Netflix sub).

Try looking at Unblock-US however depending on your network provider your data may be funnelled through the ISP's DNS regardless making it hard to appear to be in the right region, and or course Netflix may be forced down the line to lock you (or your account) down to a set region, say the credit card origin region.

You can setup Unblock-Us on the 360 easily to get access to all of the Netflix regions as you can change DNS on the 360. It is well worth paying for Unblock-Us as you can find more recent films in other regions, you can get some films in Mexico and Sweden before the US if you have kids that love Disney's Frozen its on Netherlands service.

I think Netflix will do as little as possible to lock down as they know it gives them customers apparently Netflix figures they have 200,000 subscribers in Australia despite the fact they haven't launched there yet.

Possibly, however once they launch anywhere they'll be forced to try and control right usage by the people who they buy programs from, or possibly get limited programming. Same reason you cannot buy a Sky Uk sub legally outside the UK, watch non UK stations of showing live Premier league matches. Rights (and ultimately money) are important.
