I agree, but some people are unable to post objectively.

I've never understood why they waste energy and effort putting other people's choices down.

Is it a "choice" really?

I think if we looked at the psychology behind it, we'd realise something different.

Example:-
Do people buy cars, like the VW Golf, because they "choose" a reliable car? Or do they make that "choice" because they're simply listening to outdated opinions?
In which case, was it really a choice? did they go into the details? did they look at the facts? did they do the research? or was that person simply compelled by social influences?

What the hell are you ranting about now. iPhones are 'dumbed down' because they're designed to be straightforward. The main reason I dislike Android is because it's complex and not consistent. THAT IS MY CHOICE.

Apple haven't 'socially engineered' people to buy iPhones, people buy them because they want to, they have a CHOICE, just like you made the choice to buy a nexus.

Go and live in the middle of the Antarctic if it bothers you so much. You have a "choice" not to post your silly BS on here and are still doing so when more than 1 person (inc the OP) has told you it isn't helpful.
