Hey guys,
Probably a silly questions but I'm not sure on this.
My other half opened a 33 month 0% balance transfer card last year, he made a balance transfer of £500, now; would he be able to make another balance transfer?, of course, limit allowing on the Barclaycard of course. Or is he only allowed to do this within a certain amount of time from opening the account?
Cheers!

May not be an helpful answer but it depends on the terms of the offer he applied for.
Some lenders allow BTs in the full promo period. Others (more commonly) give you 3 months for example to do as many BTs as you want.0 -
nope first 60 days only.0

Just as I thought, I believe it's more than likely the first 60 days, I'll see if he can check his paper work (He's rubbish at these kind of things!)
Thanks for your replies0 -
no need to check paper work, its 60 days, ive checked for you and I also had 60 days.
"You have up to 60 days from account opening to transfer your balance"

id still ring them as they might offer a transfer.0 -

MrSilk - I got one of these in August, couple of months later they started offering me another BT 0% offer (1.9% fee) for 6 months before the end of November - so you probably won't get a 0% for 24 months or whatever he has left, but probably 6 months which is better than nothing
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

If you have an online account, you may be able to see if they have any BT offers for you at the moment. I constantly get such offers. However they are not for 33 months. The one they are offering me right now is for 12 months.SPC 08 - #452 - £415
SPC 09 - #452 - £2980 -
Barclaycard must feel many people will get 'trapped' at the end of the promo rate - as the ALWAYS seem to have a transfer promo for existing customers all the time.
Presumably, they've calculated very carefully and know many will shift the balance again ... after all, banks NEVER make mistakes, do they !!??0 -

Yep, seems pretty standard with Barclaycard.
But I think they're starting to give up on me now. My last offer was only for 6 months.0 -
I just checked my offers and have 1.9% to bank account for 9 months and 3.5%
until Feb 2016 for balance transfers.0
