Now my old light switch is a manky old corroded gold job, I want to change it for a simple plastic one, its a 2 Gang, 1 switch does the porch light (1-way) the other does the Hall (2 way).
Now reading from the back, L-R Top first, the old switch has a single block C-L1-L2(L2 empty) L1 L2 C. But the new switch has 2 Y shaped blocks & reads (againe from the back L-R top first)L1 L2 L1 L2, L,L. Im assuming C in the old switch is "Common Live", ie "L" in the new one, also the empty old switch is the 1-way porch,(the second L2 on the new switch that corresponds to the porch 1 way switch) to complicate matters their is a link connecting the first C to the first L1 plus 2 other cables on the old switch. I wont complicate things but puttin in colours at this stage.
Now lets call the old switch connections 1,2,3,4,5,6 as already described, & the new one A,B,C,D,E,F. can anyone match them up? Ta.
