Additionally, if I were the landlord I would not be happy about 5 adults living in a house that i'd rented out to one.
The house does not have an income.
The income of the grandmothers boyfriend would affect only his and her benefit payments, and perhaps the amount of council tax due on the property.
Anyone elses income related benefits in the property would not change, as they are not part of the same household.
Other than the possible changes to HB - the other four adults in the house would not be affected in any way.0 -
If you suspect fraud phone your local Housing Benefits Department - simples as the other sites Meerkats say.
They are either committing fraud or they are not.
If they are committing fraud they will be investigated. If they aren't then they won't.These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0 -
have you seen the tenancy agreement that states only 1 adult should be there?
i have no issue with benefit fraudsters being reported ( in fact i encoutage it), but your comments all involve what you 'think' or 'inagine' and looks from the outside, like you just think you are better than these people and that they have no right to live in the same area as you0 -
If the problem is just the rubbish and the noise then try the council and enviormental health. Keep a diary if you want of when the music is off and on and that might help to show it isn't just a one off.
As for how many people live in a house it is more an more common for people from all backgrounds to have mutigeneration families living in one house. Just check out the mortgage board of people in their 30's still living at home desperate to move out.
Try not to think about them or let them get to you. Get a new hobbie or just focus on your gf moving in and not worrying about what they are up too as you're just expending negative energy at something you can't fix anyway.[STRIKE]Original Mortgage 07/07 £160000 LTV 100% [/STRIKE]Remortgaged 10/13 £118000 LTV 84%

You know, I make a point of not judging anyone.... Because people always wrongly judge me. I have a quiet nature, which people treat with distrust.
But since the incident where this crazy woman (the mid-40s grandmother) shouted abuse over the fence at me, her and her entire family have very much been lowered in my estimation.
Do you know why she shouted at me and subsequently damaged my car?
One Friday morning I was heading out to work and noticed a few toys in my garden, so I dropped the kids toys back over the fence, as I always do, kids are kids and I have better things to worry about than a few spiderman toys landing in my garden. One of these toys was broken, but that's not my business or problem, I just popped them back over the fence and went to work.
Basically when I got home she accused me of breaking the kids toys and stood there ranting at me, effing and blinding like a trooper, threatening me, my GF and my property.
When I denied it, she says "I knew you'd deny it".
First of all, if i'm going to deny it, then why ask?
Secondly am I supposed to admit something I didn't do?
So as a result of this utterly brainless comment, in my eyes her level of intelligence has dropped to that of an untrained chimp.
Now for whatever this toy cost, she has been round and slashed a £95 tyre. The level of escalation on this is just insane......
Before all this happened I was quite happy to live and let live, they were a bit noisy, they swore a lot out in the garden (so do the children), but I just let them get on with it.
I'm not going to play silly "tit for tat" games, I won't give her the satisfaction. But equally i'll take every opportunity to place myself in the stronger position should anything occur in future.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I can't remember if you said if you own your house, but if it is escalating you might want to consider the fact you'll have to declare this when you come to sell the house, and base your response on that as well.[STRIKE]Original Mortgage 07/07 £160000 LTV 100% [/STRIKE]Remortgaged 10/13 £118000 LTV 84%
