Replacement with no receipt or product?

So I was driving to work this morning in light rain and the drivers side windscreen wiper came off on the motorway. Obviously I couldn't stop to get it so continued to work, thankfully only a couple of minutes away.
I bought this windscreen wiper and paid for fitting from Halfords around six months ago, however, I don't believe I have the receipt. I also don't have the faulty product as it's sat on the motorway!
Will I be able to get a replacement or am I out of luck?

If it has been 6 months since the blade was fitted I very much doubt it fell off due to being faulty. The most likely situation is that the clip was dislodged either accidentally or deliberately at some stage.0

After 6 months, I would say you may just have to get a new one yourself and face it.
I do recommend getting your blades from elsewhere and fitting yourself.
I got bosch ones from ebay for £12 fitted...all three of them

Yeah, 6 months down the line with no blade and no receipt there is little they can do for you.
On a side note, these guys are a bit rubbish at 'fitting' stuff. A few weeks back I took my car to have them fit a new battery. I watched in horror as the guy almost connected the battery terminals the wrong way around! He only stopped when I pointed out "surely red and red should go together mate, not red on black?". Wish I'd done it myself now...0 -
So I've just been to Halfords and explained the situation. They replaced the wiper no questions asked and even provided me with a new receipt. Very happy
