Santander Cash ISA 0.5%

I'm looking for a better alternative to the Santander cash ISA which is only paying 0.5% at the moment. Are there any other options to upgrade or transfer within santander or is it better to move the money elsewhere and what are the caveats of doing that?

....Halifax fixed rate 1 yr 1.5%....just make sure you let them do the transfer. ie don't take it out yourself as it will loose its ISA status.
NB If you don't already have one, max out on the Santander 123 account...pays 3.0%...(less tax)..£20k max..better rate than any ISA

How much have you got in your ISA? How much do you expect to add to it for the remainder of this financial year, and how much in the next? When do you expect to want to spend the money (some or all of it)? How old are you, what is your tax rate, what are your pension arrangements?

Why not open a Satander 123 Current Account? The interest rate is 3%, less tax that it still a lot more than most ISAs.
  • £9.7k I could make it up to £10k. For a house deposit. Early 30s.

You'll get 5% or 4% using current accounts. Plenty of threads here about them.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
