I wouldn't call those affordable, I don't think. Lesser specs below perhaps, but more in the affordable category.

It depends. OP didn't say his budget...
All those I chosen are quad core btw.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I already have a larger laptop, but due to my new job requiring me to travel between schools etc, I'm looking for something around the £200/£250ish mark to carry around with me. Thanks for all your suggestions x0

I suggest you may want to consider 10.1" as quite a few of them come with MS Office.0 -
If your carrying it around, you want something that's "business grade" and you won't get that for less than £1500.
These are designed to be abused, thrown, dropped, covered in coffee, etc etc.
Sure you could buy a refurb, but under £200 you'll struggle.
I've got two IBM T41's, which would have cost £1600 each in 2004 (when the same spec consumer grade unit would have cost £500), got them in 2008 for £150 each and they've been rock solid for the best part of 10 years (2004-2014), one even got kicked down a flight of stairs by a careless nephew.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
