I had British Gas engineer come in on Friday as the boiler ( Suprima 40) after about 24hours does not come on with the timer and you have to reset to get working. The engineer had a laptop and replaced the electrode but today when I have gone to put the heating on the boiler in flashing amber intermittently. I have pressed reset and it has now come back on. Does anyone know what this could be?.

If you search the forum for "Potterton Suprima Lock Out" There is a long thread which may help. Theres a long history of faulty PCBs on these boilers and the thread has a lot of good info on refurb boards and warranty replacements.

It is 13 years old, but from reading around it sounds like it might be the PCB board. Have you got a similar model then?0 -
Our's is 9 years old and we replaced our pcb earlier this year. I suspect the previous owners had to replace it too as the pcb didn't show a serial no. or model.0
