wallpapering uneven walls - trade secret required

I'm in the process of decorating a room in a house that dates back to the mid 1800's - which means there's few straight edges (for example, a undulating ceiling).
The actual wall surface is reasonable and I've just covered it in Wallrock Fibreline Plus 180 (an excellent paper to work with by the way).
Putting up the lining paper has been relatively easy since I can crease the paper into the corners (eg, between wall and ceiling) and mark the crease with a pencil to get an accurate cut with scissor.
I'm now just about to put up the actual wallpaper and this is where I'm beginning to scratch my head. I can obviously crease the paper into the corners but I don't want to make a pencil since it could show up on the finished paper. I'm not sure a crease will show up enough to be able to properly follow it for the cut.
Does anybody know of a good way of making the crease line stand out well to be able to get an accurate cut?

My husband used to just run a line in the crease with the back of his closed decorating scissors, never had a problem with that method.
Edited.
And use proper long bladed decorators scissors and use with confidence xmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
People tend to forget wallpaper has a habit of shrinking so you mm perfect initial cut may not end up that way? Some would use a straight edge /bit of timber etc pushed into corner and fold paper over to leave a crease0

If wallpaper 'shrunk' we'd all have gaps between the drops: and we don't so it doesn't shrink
Crease the paper into a corner and brush the paper well into the corner - and then either run the back of the unopened scissors along it to give you a defined crease mark, or use a snapoff bladed knife to cut the paper in situ.
As the above poster says tho - use with confidence!

My advice on how to paper an uneven wall? Distilled from a gazillion house moves and 4 full renovation projects.
Don't.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Cut the paper when it's on the wall with a very sharp knife0
