Oh how I wished I'd read the ideal world reviews before we bought from them. Ladies solid face make up ordered but arrived all broken up, returned for replacement and that arrived just the same, returned asking for a complete refund along with 2 lots of P&P. this process has taken at least 6 emails trying to correct their refund mistakes, and they still cant get it right. what a bunch of unprofessional idiots. My advice after reading this rant, do not use them as it can become a time consuming frustration.
I forgot to mention trying to phone them is also frustration as you are put on hold added to a Q, when I diid get to speak with a human voice it was an asian gentleman who wanted to be helpful but with there 0870 number and his slow english although clear but slow I was still concious of how much the phone call was costing so I said goodbye and went through the email rout. Over a month now trying to get this resolved,,, just a simple correct refund is all I want.

  • I am so glad you posted here as I have just joined this site & didn't know where to post my own rant lol I have read on other sites many complaints of their shoddy service. So here is my rant.........We have just had a VERY unsettling problem with Ideal World & thought I would share with you & see if anyone else feels this might be sharp practice & perhaps even illegal & also this might be a warning to you all? A few days ago I received an email receipt from IW for a Halogen Oven. My neighbour & I have both shopped there a few times but the scary thing is....I DIDN'T ORDER IT! I went to look in my account online to find that my card details had been changed to a card I didn't recognise & there was the oven order. Eeeek! Then it clicked....My neighbour & very dear friend had popped in a few days previously & used our phone to call....(you guessed it) IW to make an order & of course you can guess what the item was. My friend does not have a landline anymore so calling from her mobile would have been extortionate at the blown up prices they charge for a call. I contacted IW fuming & after a long & frustrating call with an Asian gentleman at Cust Serv I was told that our telephone numbers are linked to our accounts & when we call using their automated ordering system the order is automatically processed! In this case she had made her order on the automatic ordering line until it came to entering her card details, it wouldn't accept as the numbers did not tally, so she was put through to a cust serv rep who asked her if she wanted to change her card details & obviously thinking she was ordering on her account, & thought her card might have needed updating as it was a while since she last ordered, she went ahead & changed the card number! Now.... If we had not been friendly neighbours & had either fallen out or if I was just someone with no concience or morals, I could have kept the oven & ya boo sucks to her! Also I would have been able to have gone ahead & purchased other items on HER card & they would have been delivered to my address! Surely this is a dangerous practice & there must be others out there that occasionally for whatever reason use someone elses phone to place an order. So this is a cautionary tale folks but I now have the address of the head office & will be taking this up with them in the very near future. Told them I wanted to close my account as thought they were schysters & was told, just don't use it, we don't close accounts & you can't. Total !!!!ers! I was under the opinion it is my "right" to cancell an account if I wished to do so but apparently not :( OK stepping off my soap box now....Rant over lol
