DWP Esa confirmation Letter is required from a friend for some of their legal aid funding assistance, and some other application processes (for simplicity she can get possible reductions if on benefits, and has to provide her Dwp letter as evidence).

This is their requirement

Benefit Evidence needed:
ESA letter/ Income support letter.

Evidence letter from :
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

Dated : No more than three months old

That is the problem (the date), she has no letter, which is less than 3 months old (With in the past 3 months, no letter).

The last dwp letter she has sent by them in April 2014 (when the rates changed), so that was 7 months ago!

so how can a letter be provided with is less than 3 months, when there has been no DWP letter sent to her recently , within the past 7 months ?

What would usually happen , can the 7 month old - last april letter just be sent ?

or can ESA send a new letter in the post, a recent letter with a new recent date on it? how long do they take to send this out ?

Easy just ring DWP and ask them to send a letter confirming benefit entitlement then the date on the letter will be the day he/she asked for it. Letters usually take 7 working days.

    are you speaking from experience,

Do they definitely do this, with the new recent date of request?

If i wasn't then i wouldn't have advised you do this! Obviously if you need proof of your benefits you ring them and ask them to send it to you. The date you ring them will be on the letter just like i said in my other post.
