How do you down size from a new build terrace with no parking?

(new build as in less than 20yold. Were they building places without parking then?)

Yes this estate was built just over 10 years ago, some houses have a garage and/or driveway but many just have one allocated car parking space, which is set out as a row of spaces side by side with a sign on each one to say what house number it is for!

There are no areas for visitors parking, just a few spaces along the estate on the road but very limited and taken up by residents who need more than one space.

When I saw downsize, I mean a cheaper property. The terrace is a really large townhouse and is 40k more than a small 2 bed property in the area.

It is a case of the terraced townhouse being lovely, massive with a great balcony with views but the parking situation is a huge issue and may affect resale potential I guess.

There was another property we loved, not in the estate (bonus) with its only garage attached and double driveway. We had to write that one off because it is on a main road, which isn't really busy, it is 30 MPH and as the town is quite small it is only busy during rush hour. But as we have cats, who are used to our current rural location, I fear they may meet their maker quite quickly. Unless of course we keep the cats in or do something with the garden so they can't escape! It pains me to write off probably the best house of the three due to the cats but would pain me more to lose them to the road.
