Mid terraced or end terrace?

Hello, just wondering what other people would favour if you had to choose one of these.

Mid terrace that was much larger with a balcony overlooking woodland, an ensuite master bedroom and separate lounge and dining room, but with only one parking space a short walk from the property and very little visitor parking. Price-OIEO 180k.

or

End terrace, in slightly better area with combined lounge/diner, no ensuite and small steep garden with no view but double driveway in front of the property and plenty of visitor parking. Price-EA said would accept 170k

Love them both, can't decide which one to lose!

Personally I would prefer the mid-terrace because I only have one car and no visitors ;)

The mid terrace sounds like a better house and mid-terraces are more energy efficient too.

  • End of terrace for me! At least then if the neighbours are noisy you've only got it coming from one side! ;)

Whichever one you choose, I hope you'll be very happy in your new home.

Not me, I'm more the Greek God type - although Phil and Kirsty did use our website to find new buyers to feature.

These are long term, in an ideal world for the next 25 years until retirement when we hope to downsize and get a bit of equity back. Of course we might change our mind before then if we get fed up but in an ideal world, we would not.

When I say the end terrace is a better location, it is on a residential road, with quite a good reputation. The mid terrace is part of quite a large 10 year old housing estate, which is quite popular but you do get some stigma attached to those sorts of estates sometimes.

Mind you the end terrace has been on sale since the beginning of the year and I know it is because the garden isn't suitable for a family so this could cause a resale issue in the future.
  • The mid terrace sounds better to me, only downside is you have 2 neighbours but you only need one to be a nightmare! Try investigating the neighbours a bit, look at their gardens and general upkeep for a bit of an idea.

How do you down size from a new build terrace with no parking?

(new build as in less than 20yold. Were they building places without parking then?)
