Don't student unions have hardship loans? Which I presume would have low interest.
At Christmas and summer hoilidays get working in a factory/warehouse. They are always looking for seasonal work and it will help for your next year of study, unless you urine it all away.
That's what I did. With the occasional evening job whilst studying. Dont be a sheep and waste it all drink and fancy electronics with the other idiotic students.0 -
if you were brought up mnot to save money, then chances are you actuasly CAN ask your parents to help and they will as they have been doing all your life up till now (which is why you don't have the skills to manage money). don't be embarrassed to ask them.0

Cant ask parent
I'm not sure this is good advice, given that the OP has already discounted this option and we have no idea of his personal circumstance with regard this.Gizmo-macca wrote: »chances are you actuasly CAN ask your parents to help and they will0 -
Yes I'm looking and applying for every job that I could possibly do, since I know that will help me if I get to keep it. I'm going to talk to the university today and ask them but it does look like credit card is a bad idea even do I will just be using it for rent.0

Highly doubt your rental company accepts credit cards, and if they do, your CC issuer may treat it as a cash transaction which means fees and higher interest rates.Yes I'm looking and applying for every job that I could possibly do, since I know that will help me if I get to keep it. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
I doubt you will be able to get a 0 per cent interest credit card. You need to be working full time and have a good credit rating which I doubt you will have if your in your overdraft and don't have money coming in.
Its worth giving it ago though. Keep applying for the jobs, the more you apply for, the more chance you have of getting one. Try call center jobs, they are so easy to get and some offer part time hours. Even if you are only going to do it for a month or so, it will get some money coming into your bank account.0
