Morning all. Working in Costa this morning and yet again it's like a crèche. I don't mind kids but they shouldn't have free run of the place when hot coffee is being carried around.....

Blowing a gale outside. Was so loud last night it woke me up and I couldn't sleep for two hours so a bit bleary today. My poor Mum is worse. She has the lurgy good and proper and is coughing so hard it scares me. Managed to wrestle the washing up cloth from her hand this morning and demanded she sit down and let me do it. Good grief she is stubborn.

Morning all, just doing a T order and I am confused with the following-
Duracell batteries are on BOGOF and Half Price. The same is happening with the Kettle Chips, could this mean when they arrive and the discount is applied they could be free??? Or am I over thinking this?

Morning all - or afternoon if you read this later

Nearly sorted now, 2 loads of washing still to do but floors vacuumed, one bedroom sorted , one bed changed, Oxfam bag started and Christmas heaps sorted so it does at least feel like I am getting somewhere today.

I have noticed a few people are AWOL which is slightly worrying, hopefully its voluntary purdah

List of things I have to be happy about this morning

We had some delinquent slugs doing nocturnal meanderings up and down the kitchen and also the study and leaving disgusting trails everywhere. The cold seems to have killed them while we were away so we came back to snail free house after the hols :T

Eldest son rang this morning, (he has been left in charge of the asylum this morning) to let us know that he is on top of all the admin work in prep for coming back to the UK at the end of the month and he has also sorted his accommodation out :T

Also had a one line email from youngest son to say he is coming home tomorrow - no idea how long for, might be just the day but even so any child coming home of however short a time is still good news :T
