This is true but a single supplement will soon bump up the cost so not really that much of a reduction. And unfortunately some hotels don't offer single supplements.

I was looking through secret escapes and all of the 'offer prices' are for at least two people travelling

And remember, there are lots of people who have to travel during the school holidays too. But yes, single people do get shafted, no denying it.
