I changed my mind about posting the full text of the OP here.
Not because I thought I'd get in trouble but because people will get to see and appreciate our good wit and banter if they click through :cool:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
At last!
I like this one as everything comparable is not 10% cheaper, just the way it always should be! I'd have preferred it if they had bought the more expensive Choux Buns instead. However I don't know if they would compare vs Morries - does anyone know? They are still 2 for £2 in T - Mr T otherwise seeing us buying in twos again.
10 items on your bill qualify for comparisonMorrisons
+£0.30
0.57 x ASDA Onions by Weight per kg£0.42N/A
0.55 x ASDA White Baking Potatoes by Weight per kg£0.65£0.68
1 x ASDA Free Range Large Eggs (6)£1.65£1.69
1 x ASDA Butcher's Selection Unsmoked Streaky Bacon (1...£1.90£1.99
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Chocolate Choux Bun (2)£1.20£1.00
1 x ASDA Smartprice Disinfectant Pine (1L)£0.30£0.30
1 x John Smith's Extra Smooth Bitter (4x440ml)£4.00£4.00
1 x ASDA Smartprice Tissues White (225)£0.65£0.65
1 x ASDA Ready to Eat Bananas (5)£1.00£0.99
1 x ASDA Broccoli (335g)£0.49£0.49
1 x ASDA Sweet & Crunchy Salad (165g)£1.00N/A
1 x Magnum Classic (3x110ml)£2.25£2.00
Comparison total (compared products only)£14.09£13.79 (Morries cheaper:D)
Really I think the Magnums ought to be on half price in Morries. Sadly they are not and Morries doesn't have them at half price at the moment. Indeed, I think Morries ought to have everything on half price and that items should be banned from comparing to prices that are more expensive elsewhere (certainly more expensive beyond 10%!)!
But pedantic me points out that they should have had the Onions against T:
0.57 x ASDA Onions by Weight per kg£0.42£0.44
The Baking Potatoes should also have been against T:
0.55 x ASDA White Baking Potatoes by Weight per kg£0.65 £0.60
Or, even better, against S:
0.55 x ASDA White Baking Potatoes by Weight per kg£0.65 £0.55
At last! There's an item that I can put (a single baking potato) against S!
Or W (W also showing 55p on that weight).
The John Smith's should be vs W:
1 x John Smith's Extra Smooth Bitter (4x440ml)£4.00£3.97
It ought to be £3.50 somewhere else instead of that expensive price, or ought to glitch vs a penny somewhere preferably. £3.99 for T.0 -
