It was dodge the kid along the floor of the sports centre to the gym in those days. None of them had any fear they were used to somersaulting in the air.
Forgot to say they are black suede which is why I was cautious about using anything bleach based to clean them off with thought might end up with white patches. Will try normal soapy water and dry them thoroughly in front of a radiator. Fingers crossed they don't look at all worn so will be such a waste.
Bet it's all the dregs of alcohol been spilt on them during nights out.
we have had a small issue with mould since the cavity walls was done. more ventilation required. These were canvas vans sandshoe things that little miss had. I cleaned them all up and then she says oh i dont wear them anymore and actually they did look a little past it. kids Meh !0 -

So you cleaned them for nothing.
I will take a chance and if DD2 doesn't want them they can go to charity I hate throwing things away.0 -

I love it when "oldies" pop in at the beginning of a new thread - just wish they could not keep having a door slammed in their face
Makes me sad that they are made to feel so unwelcome that they may not keep coming back. I too would like to see them posting more regularly on here.
I only post on mse and have never been a member of any fb group, but I am aware that there is an fb feud based only on what is posted here - who isn't? But 90% + of folk who use this thread have absolutely no idea of the why's and wherefores and am guessing that the majority, like me, would like to keep it that way.
When these peeps pop in, what I see is pleasant chatty posts from folk that I respect and admire and feel so very grateful towards, as they were the ones who were instrumental in starting up these threads and getting permission from BGs and mse towers to "host" it where it is. These are soon to be followed by a number of aggressive, critical, negative posts from some current regulars, people that I also respect and admire. It is difficult.
I loved it when tweets started a thread and so many piled in to say hello :T. It is not pathetic or stupid to support a much loved and valued contributor - it was lovely and a fantastic testament to what tweets has brought to this thread. Never an aggressive or rude comment towards anyone :A
So it is just the flip side to the same coin. Room for everyone, all welcome. It is good to have different perspectives and I hope all past contributors will feel able to pop in to say hello and be welcomed if they do so.0 -
