I've always seen (since I started looking from Friday onwards) just 2 items in the offer on msm signed out. They are the Maltesers and the Minstrels. Same position as I have on a.com signed out.
Signed in on msm, on the A side of the site, the Minstrels disappear and the only item I have in the offer is the Maltesers (even though the Minstrels are available in my store and do appear on the APG and compare as everyone else's do). The word "any" in the pricing for Mr A also disappears on the Maltesers that I see, when signed in. Signed in - Maltesers - Mr A £1.00 3 for £2.00. Signed out - Maltesers - Mr A's pricing reads £1.00 any 3 for £2.00.
(I think this just happens because, when you click on the offer for Mr A, when signed in, it doesn't do anything, because the system, signed in for me, only has that item in the offer showing for Mr A. Whereas, signed out, it has more than one item - namely two items - in the offer, the Minstrels and the Maltesers.)
The Milky Way Stars and the M&M Peanuts show OOS for me for A (for example on the T side of msm) when signed out or in. £1.00 asterisk any 3 for £2.00.
I suspect that is why they don't come up in the offer (at least when it brings anything up at all, i.e. when signed out). Yet we've had products before that showed OOS - I remember the Ski Lemon Cheesecake Desserts - that nevertheless appeared on the APG and picked up the mbuy:( even when showing OOS on msm - maybe someone, somewhere, had them in stock and showing the mbuy. Msm.co.uk no longer automatically shows OOS items in the supermarket in which you are shopping, for example in an offer. It only brings up OOS items now (that is, in the side of the side you are currently in) if you search on very specific search terms - usually the full name of the product including its weight and even then sometimes shows nothing. (Very helpful - not:( - when trying to work out whether a recently OOS item at a competitor was within the weight range or not.) Does anyone have M&M or Milky Way Stars, or both, showing for them in stock for A on msm/msl but missing the mbuy (or even showing the mbuy but as being in a separate mbuy offer, or a separate 'group', to the Maltesers and Minstrels one)? Presumably no-one has M&M, Maltesers and Minstrels (or Milky Way, Maltesers and Minstrels - all the Ms:laugh:) all in stock and showing in a single same mbuy for A on msm.
EDIT: I should add, for completeness, that, signed in, the Minstrels say (for example on the T side of msm) £1.00* 3 for £2.00 for A. In other words, no word "any":D and showing OOS (even though, for me, it's technically unclear to me whether it means only OOS in relation to the £1.00 price and not OOS for 3 for £2.00 or whether the asterisk marking applies to both - that's my literalism however and I think it means OOS for both pricings - even though pedant me would prefer to see "£1.00* 3 for £2.00*":p:rotfl:).
Ah, that single, important word "any":D. The devil may be in the detail, I suspect! Or, actually, it probably isn't, but I'm just saying it is in order to make a dramatic point.0 -
