Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Heres my recipe for Tablet.

    2lbs sugar
    large tin of condensed milk
a tea cup of milk and a walnut (rounded teaspoon) of butter.
Teaspoon of vanilla essence for later.

put all (except the essence) into a heavy bottomed pan and leave on a low heat till the sugar melts and it comes to the boil.
This can take about 45 mins.
Once boiling, boil fast for 20 mins.
Take it off the heat and add one teaspoon of vanilla essence, whip it with a fork till it starts to turn sugery again.
Pour into a greased tray, mark with a knife for easy breaking later
    And enjoy.
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I just had the worst dim sum from the local takeout place. Threw it away after a few bites. Was my Saturday treat :(

Bert: Speaking of names, I know a man with a wooden leg named Smith.
Uncle Albert: What's the name of his other leg?

Could someone clarify with me that my online order with Asda it's my first one! For delivery the 9 to 11pm slot on Monday will stay the same price I have paid for it! As an example the beef or if the beef offer ends before delivery will I be given the option to cancel the order I am trying to get to grips with online shopping please help a confused pensioner. Thanks

Am afraid it states you will be charged the price the beef is that day

But I don't know whether the beef will be same or not

    Afternoon!

    It is quiet innit?

Mrs S in answer to your question I've got me some Hunter Wellies under my not-yet-put-up Christmas tree :)

Are you ok lovely? My sis has a cough and cold at the minute so there's definitely something going around. Did you get your nappies in the end?

Hey hun :hello:ooooh Hunters. What colour did you go for?
Love a posh pair of wellies :D
    Still feeling absolute carp :(
I had a rubbish nights sleep as couldn't stop coughing, felt like death when I got up and then had to take lil stink to the local indoor play area as i had promised him a treat if he had made it on the rainbow at school (very well behaved kiddies get to go on the rainbow and get a sticker :)) was a long 2 hours of complete bedlam but I'm home and wrapped up on the sofa with munchies and a snuggly happy boy.
No nappies, they refused to sell em at that price.. Surprise surprise :D
Still gotta be in it to win it!
Hope your sis is ok, if the cough is the same as mine it's a vicious blooming thing.
You got any plans for the evening?

Talk about keeping your head below the parapet. I've just gone and had my shopping stolen in A:eek:

    And it was my fault:o

Went to pick up my CC order ....input my details and got my order slip. And as if life isn't busy enough, I couldn't just sit for the 10 minutes it would take until my order arrived, I had to buzz off to check the price of something....as you do.

I wasn't away for more than a couple of minutes. Sat down on the green chair and waited. The young SA who I recognised from a previous order then came up to me and asked if I had a second order. It turns out he gave my shopping to someone else.....obviously without checking their details or asking for the numbered slip. He was gutted and I felt so guilty. He hadn't a clue what to do and he couldn't find a supervisor. After having half the staff fussing around me, including the store manager:o they got my shopping back together and put it through as a "training" shop. This meant my original APG has come through as expected.

    I must stop rushing around:mad:

I hope they check the CCTV. The young lad was incredulous.

    That's awful TM
