I think the recipe varies from region to region. I actually know this despite never having 'cooked' anything proper in years :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Ours was simple because we didn't own scales.

    1 tin of condensed milk
    2lb bag of sugar
    Whole block of butter
    few drops of vanilla essence

put it all in a pan at once and bring to the boil. Turn down to simmer. It's ready to put in trays when you put a teaspoon full in a cup of cold water and it turns to the consistency of soft caramel :D

ETA forgot to add to grease the tray

Sounds about right but remember to beat it to death x

I guess you could cut the quantities down. That does make quite a lot. As I said, we had no scales so it was a whole pack of everything :rotfl::rotfl: Really don't think I could eat it now. Couldn't handle that much of a sugar rush. Loved it as a kid though
Well some people do say I am just a big kid :p

Went to Morribob's to get my free F&V tonight. Managed to spend £5.06 on F&V so got my full weekly shop, including enough meat for a week for £31. I suspect that's not great compared to many, but I'm happy enough.

I was happy as I got their three for a tenner meat, nine tins of tomatoes (3 for £1), Two for £2 on cat treats and some hot chocolate. I didn't think I'd get any match points, but I got 760. I have no idea who that compared against tbh.

I also got 300 More points, so am at 4500 and only need 500 to get to my first voucher :D

Does anyone know if there's somewhere you can see the breakdown of the price match?

I do this with mine. It's really useful.

The people you share it with get no info about your account - you just need their email and DoB and they need the same about you IIRC.

They only get the next-day delivery, not the streaming, but it's been popular with the four "family" members I've shared with ;)

With a wooden spoon in the pot. Stir vigorously. Wouldn't deep fry . yeuch.

Good thing if it goes wrong you end up with toffee x
