so annoyed my microwave has broke, its only 15 months old and was not cheap got it from argos , was so happy as have new oven and hob so for once everything worked and then toaster and microwave broke within 2 days0

It's basically a dongle thing that you can plug in to the side of your telly.
You use your mobile phone as a remote control for it. Here's how I use mine:
I play something on Netflix, iPlayer or NowTV on my phone, then there's a wee button to press on the screen which "casts" what I'm watching to my telly when the Chromecast is plugged in. You can also cast YouTube videos as well.
It needs wireless to work, and if you don't have a USB port on your telly it also needs to be plugged in to the mains.
