My DDs nursery teachers are getting big boxes of Thorntons (I got them subbed for the teeny tiny little 50p bags that gave 60p APG)

    :money:

It sets a dangerous precedent though so there'd better be a good glitch next year :rotfl:

Good afternoon:). I'm here - I didn't post last night (just been trying to catch up to see if anyone commented about that:D) but still updated the Morries list as usual. I needn't mention anything as you can see it all on there. Dear, another price check tomorrow - very busy day elsewhere as well tomorrow so probably same position and hopefully it'll be another not much change day. The real big change is going to be on 1st December (Monday) - most current offers in M must be due to expire on 30th November but fortunately 1st December isn't a busy day for me so more of it can be used for the M check (which is going to be the 'busy' part of it!). Anyway... I had another thought about the Clementines, which are outside the APG weight range, but :idea:my thought is I think they may well compare.

    Good morning lovely Elite.
Thank you for being so encouraging to me yesterday - felt a bit embarrassed . I'll try my best to join in as I can, just RL is pretty hectic.
Here's my APG from yesterday eve. The JF oils were showing on MSM as out of stock but have shown up on my receipt. b/c 1997 trigger.
Perturbed by the Activia as they are showing 2 for £3 in both A and M
Also satsumas - I knew I was going to lose a little as showing as 99p in Ms on MSM!
    I didn't realise 25p freddo's don't show on APG - it's good for the diet at least.
    A v M
0.11 x ASDA Bananas by Weight per kg £0.07 £0.07
0.1 x ASDA Carrots by Weight per kg £0.08 £0.07
    1 x ASDA Easy Peel Satsumas (700g) £0.75 £1.16
    1 x Activia 0% Fat Free Yogurt - Cherry (4x125g) £1.50 £1.84
    1 x Haribo Tangfastics £0.10 £0.10
    2 x John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir (100m... £19.98 £8.00
    1 x ASDA Whole Cucumber £0.49 £0.49
    1 x Activia 0% Fat Free Yogurt - Raspberry (4x125g) £1.50 £1.84
    £24.47 £13.57
Came to £14.74 - £1 Activia coupon used and APG so under a £1 paid in real money. Returned APG for £12.26

Yes, the Satsumas comparing, unfavourably, vs M even though M's are 600g and 99p. They appear to be comparing with adjustment to M's price upwards as if it were 700g, and 99p/600 x 700 looks to be about £1.16. Haven't we seen the 700g A Clementines doing the same? I think they also may have been comparing unfavourably 75p vs £1.16. However, the Clementines (600g in M), not the Satsumas, are now on 99p bogo'f'. I think, if two Clementines packs were bought (they always buy just one on my wombles though), they might well compare at £1.50 vs £1.16. If this worked, it would cost more overall, as M's price is being adjusted higher, but it would get the 10% and would get 200g more (100g x2) product so 10% cheaper price per unit.

The Cherry Tomatoes packs, which have remained at 350g in A, changed from comparing to 84p M to 82p M. They were 350g at 84p in M. However, M no longer have the 350g packs; instead they have changed to 420g, which is outside of the weight range, and at 99p. Msm.co.uk shows straight prices, but the A 350g packs have been comparing to 82p, which is approximately the figure it would be if 99p for 420g were taken down to 350g.

Also we had the situation earlier of the King Edward Potatoes bags, 2.5kg in A, comparing (again with adjustment) to M's offer price (now expired) on the 2kg bags. Again, 2kg is outside of the weight range from 2.5kg, so that that ought not to have worked.

In addition, I notice that the 500g Seedless Green Grapes (yes, those horrid 'price lock' £1.50 grapes), which recently were returning N/A vs Morries, were, on the price collection from last Wednesday, returning M at £2.50:eek::(. Yet, as far as I am aware, M do not have packs of 500g Green Grapes (they did, very briefly, have some for a few days quite a few weeks ago when they came in on a 'special purchase' offer of 99p - and never compared on the APG probably because they were too new). The 500g grapes in A do appear to be comparing - purchase of one pack - to the £2 price on the 400g grapes in M, as that weight adjusts from £2 for 400g to £2.50:( for 500g - even though, yet again, this is outside of the 10% weight range and ought to be an N/A.

What this shows is that the 10% weight range for 'comparable' own brand products - does that range even apply any more as I can't see any obvious mention of it in the current T&Cs or FAQs? - does not apply strictly in respect of the APG's Morrisons comparison. We have had products of half the weight or even up to twice the weight/number comparing on the APG to M before.

I do know that the Clementines, when they were smaller weight in A than they are now, and were within 10% weight, did compare vs Morrisons on a bogo'f' last time this was on, probably over a year ago. So, they do have 'history' for picking up an M bogo'f'. We have all the items I've mentioned having compared. Is this something about 'fresh' fruit & veg.? I think the 700g A Clementines in twin purchasing may well compare to M's offer, with adjusted prices, now (or once the Monday data is put into the system if it has not been already).

The Cadbury's single Freddo is 20p in M btw!:rotfl: I wish I could put that on the list as an item to compare against M - sadly it has been missing from msm for A for several months now - and I have noticed it! - with the result that I've been unable to put it onto the list.
