I have been scared to use my pc for the past two days due to malware taking over it. I use Google Chrome on Windows 7.
As soon as the home page opens up the ads appear everywhere and keep redirecting me to elsewhere. I have checked using avg and I have no viruses.
Can someone please recommend a free anti malware I can use?
Thank you in advance.

Get started here:
Begin with running Malwarebytes AntiMalware and then selecting to remove all issues found.
Run AdwCleaner and later Junkware Removal Tool. Go through each Tab and select to remove all that is found.
You can use CCleaner to disable Startup items. Install CCleaner then choose to Run Cleaner. Once complete. Go to the Tools section of the CCleaner interface. Tools > Startup. Then click on the first entry on the list and then press and hold CTRL. Whilst holding it down press the A key. All the entries should now be selected. Now click on the Disable button to the right. It should change all of the Yes entries to No. Now re-boot.
You should also reset your Browser.0 -
