I applied online for a £100 overdraft as a kind of buffer

Probably isn't worth the bother to vet you for such a small sum.

If its any consolation I applied for a small overdraft facility with them when I first joined them and was rejected. However probably because I have a £10k facility with Lloyds and £3.5 with Nationwide.

    Its so unfair!!!!!!!
  • Spoke to them today, there's a marker on my account saying credit beuroe data.is that the same or worse than Lloyds cpd I've been reading about
  • Have you any defaults or any adverse accounts held elsewhere?
    DEBT FREE!

    Debt free by Xmas 2014: £3555.67/£4805.67 (73.99%)
    Debt free by Xmas 2015: £1250/£1250 (100.00%)

Yes 2 defaults almost 6 years ago,I thought they disapeared after 5 years but it's 6 March and April 2015 they should come off.
Hopefully Tsb will remove the marker then

Similar to me. I have 2x defaults (paid) that drop off next year.

I have several PLUS accounts I have maxed out with TSB, I applied for an overdraft earlier in the year and when I spoke to the lady on the phone she seemed a bit 'Why do you need an overdraft when you have £XX in the accounts ?' .

In the end I gave up because, in reality, she was right :D

The most recent PLUS account was issued with a Contactless card so I don't know if it's simply a case of me being with TSB over a year now - especially as I've just been accepted for a TSB Platinum card.

Just done a loan quote came back as 27.9%.

Aww I've just done one too and it gave me 29.9% :( I hope that's a reflection on my low student income and not my internal score because I run my 3 accounts really well.

    I'm in for 29.9%
on the home page it say's 4.9%.
    :D
Just checked mine, I've got two Classic Plus accounts with them that are both filled with £2k each. I got offered 29.9%.

    I'm good, thanks!
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
