Highest Credit Limit On Aqua?

My aqua card (I've owned it since august 2013) just got the limit increased to £4500, how far will this go ? I thought they only went up to 3k.

Regards,

Jessie...

  • My limit is £2850 and have held my card for 2 years. The biggest limit I had heard of was £3100 so you have just broke the record:p

That limit is big for a sub prime card so be careful.

Did you ask for it or was it given automatically?
  • If they're offering you that kind of limit, personally I'd change to a better lender.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
  • Mine started at £200
Within 3 months it went up to £700
Then 2 months after that increased again to £1,800!
I didn't ask for any of the increases but I was paying off the full balance of what I spent each month.

Although if it's the first card for OP, I believe I've seen on TV they do a card that can go down to 19.9%, so it may be worth using this tobuild the rating for a while.

I had the one from them that the interest goes down, they gave me interest rate of 59.9%!! Closed it then 2 months later got the original one they gave me Apr of 34.9%! Think the decreasing interest is a big CON as after they decrease the interest it goes down to 34.9% anyway.

Got the Capital One progress that drops 2% every 6 months, starts at 29.9%, after 3 years its down to 17.9%, mines at 25.9, aqua are ok but their online system is old and still no contactless. Think it's the brand New Day forgot IMO.

    Always automatic.

I pay in full monthly via DD.

I certainly won't be closing it. It's my first ever CC (I'm 22) and even if I get better cards I'll always keep it as my oldest account.
