I have recently updated from Windows 8 to 8.1 and wanted to do a back up onto a new 2 GB USB FLASH stick but when I try to do this I get an error message saying not formatted with NTFS? I have also tried to create onto a disc but again I am having no luck . Can someone please explain how I can go about creating a recovery disk in 8.1 had no problems in 8 and managed to create a recovery disc.

Not sure that 2GB will be enough. What size is recommended?0

Yeah 32GB had not realised that...0

Buy one with a decent 'write' speed, unless you wish it to take hours.0

Having done a bit of research I have found that I would have to reinstall Windows 8.1 anyway because my computer did not come with it.. Luckily I had already made a recovery disk for Windows 8.0
